Nicole Richie Designs New Contemporary Line!

Yay my fav Nicole Richie is starting a line!

Nicole Richie is a new mom again, but that's not stopping her from expanding her fashion empire. Along with House of Harlow 1960 and a maternity line for A Pea in the Pod, she is designing a women's contemporary line called Winter Kate (Harlow's middle names). The 37-piece collection, which was inspired by peacocks and other birds, includes tops, vests, bed jackets, and dresses — mini, long slip-style, and kimono-sleeve maxis.

"Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate," she said. Prices start at $35 and go up to $598 for leather pieces. Look out for the line in February at stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Intermix, and Kitson.

Burberry Black Label 2009 Fall/Winter Photoshoot

Burberry’s Japan-exclusive line ‘Black Label’ has released pictures of it’s latest collection for Autumn/Winter ’09 entitled ‘A Portrait in Black’. Once again Black label delivers an elegant collection, this time offering a series of jackets and suits. Whilst the aesthetic is generally formal, there are a few more casual jackets, no more so than the pink quilted number. As always, despite the British tone to the collection, its release will be limited to Japan.

Tom Ford Adds Italian Cypress To The Private Blend Collection

For the first time since the Private Blend Collection was launched in the spring of 2007, Tom Ford Beauty is adding another revolutionary fragrance to the line. Italian Cypress, the new sartorially inspired scent is being launched this summer in honor of the new Tom Ford store in Milan, Italy.
Created for true connoisseurs of fragrance, all of the scents in the Private Blend Collection deliver original blends of the most fascinating notes in the perfumer's lexicon. In the world of fragrance, Tom Ford scents are as distinct and instantly recognizable to the well-trained nose as a Gucci purse is to even the most untrained eye.
Italian Cypress blends woods and resins, delivering the robust essence of Italian quality and sophistication. This truly complex blends lingers with final notes of labdanum, Icelandic moss, ciste absolute, and Indonesian patchouli.

Rock & Republic’s Recession Ready Line: Plain Wrap

Coming This August 2009...

As this recession continues, life’s extravagance lacking simplicities are consuming our daily lives. We walk places that used to seem cab necessary. We skip out on the espresso and opt for a cheaper, chalkier tasting coffee. We have do-it-yourself spa days instead of getting weekly pedicures...boo I really hate that one...

Completely aware of this recession mentality, Rock & Republic, who you used to drop almost $300 on denim for, is slated to release their rendition of the recession cutbacks. 'Plain Wrap', a very basic “jeans and tees” kind of line will be available this August as a cheap alternative to disposable fashion.

This recession conscious line is definitely a great idea, but who really wants “T-Shirt” written across their tees or “Windbreaker” written on the back of their windbreaker? The “Stiletto” stiletto I don’t mind so much, but as soon as Plain Wrap hits the street, you’re going to be able to know exactly who has succumb to the recession blues…just look for the guy with the “Jacket” on his jacket.

bebe Summer 2009 “A Safari State of Mind” Catalog

I LOVE me some BEBE! Since I was about 13 I fell in love with bebe... and I think their style has gotten better and better. It's my no fail store.. If I can't find a fab dress anywhere..I know I will find something I can work with at bebe.

So this past Friday I received bebe’s summer 2009 catalog, “A Safari State of Mind”, in the mail and loved it! The shoot took place in the exotic African safari featuring animals like elephant, giraffe, zebra and lion alongside with model Diana Moldovan as a young adventurer. Aside from the amazing animals and background, I’m not a car freak but I couldn’t take my eyes off the sexy old school G Wagen in the shoot, so hot! And also the fab wardrobe blending of new haute styles and untamed animal prints, captured in raw silk and structured canvas, get your safari chic on!

You can shop the summer 2009 catalog at
www.bebe.com or always Shop Style my fave...

Stella McCartney's Capsule Collection for Net a Porter Debuts Today

Stella McCartney designed a 23-piece capsule collection for Net a Porter which went live today. Seven of the pieces feature a limited-edition cloud print which was the result of a collaboration between McCartney and pop artist Peter Blake.
It's a dreamy, gentle collection and Stella herself said she wanted to design something that would flatter a woman's shape. Stella came under fire recently for her
Met Costume Gala outfit which consisted of a lace jumpsuit, but I rather liked it. At a talk last night she said:"I had to have a girlfriend take me in an out of it every time I had to go to the bathroom - so it does have it's drawbacks, but I love them because they're just so effortless."
Her collection contains a stunning silk jumpsuit, so we think she's definitely onto something!

Men's suits: tailored trends in 2009 and 2010

Looking for a bit of inspiration for the double breasted men's fashion trend?
Then look no further than this photo shoot from GQ Style featuring clothes from Chanel's menswear. (Bottom Picture)

Men's fashion trends are few and far between; yes, a lot of women's trends are eventually adapted to the men's market, but if 2009 Men's hair trends prove anything, it is that classics will always rule when it comes to men's fashion. Unsurprisingly it's no different when it comes to men's suits.

Details On Kanye West's Clothing Line

"Nobody — not even girls — loved clothes as much as me," Kanye West recently told Flare magazine. And now his dream of being a designer is finally coming true.
Kanye West will put off touring until summer to make sure his clothing line, 'Past Tell', is absolutely perfect.
His line could go up for sale on the Internet at any moment. Any delays in launching are only because, as Tim Blanks explains in this month's Canadian Flare, Kanye is "acutely aware of his responsibility to offer only the best." As such, Kanye has — after working on the project for more than a year — only created four pieces as part of his line. They include three articles of clothing. And a belt. Blanks reports that Kanye wore these items to the shows in February and March.
So absorbed in fashion is he, Kanye cleared his schedule for an entire five months, starting in February, to work only on clothing design, including the range of sneakers he designed for Louis Vuitton. This is not, Blanks informs us, simply a case of Kanye attaching his name to a product, but a return to his childhood passion.
And one more thing: Not only does Kanye care deeply about attiring himself, the women he dates, and the world, he cares about how you see him. For do not misconstrue arrogance for his own self-belief. "I don't have the traditional false modesty a celebrity's supposed to have," Kanye explains.
"I can't lie to anybody about the way I feel about myself; I'm too dope. I'm super-dope."
The first Pastelle Clothing store will open up early 2009 in Chicago — followed by the New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco launch. ...(it is unknown)whether the line will be syndicated in larger retail stores such as Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, or even J.C. Penny. International Stores are also currently being negotiated — no clue as to which cities will see the first stores yet.

MOST WANTED: Cacharel Liberty Prints

The Barneys Co-op catalog arrived in my mailbox a few days ago, and topping my wish list is something from Carcharel's liberty print capsule collection.
Look past the model's hardcore eye makeup and funky hairnet....how cute is her outfit?
Such a nice spring outfit that is comfortable... imagine pairing with scuffed brown boots?
I've been craving florals lately, and I love the idea of coupling two contrasting patterns. The oxford look is breezy and effortless, particularly when it's slightly unbuttoned with rolled-up sleeves. And the skirt is pleasingly full, with an elastic waist and pockets. Both get extra points for being made of crisp, machine-washable cotton.

DESIGNER STYLE: Zadig & Voltaire

That certain Je Ne Sais Quoi brand of chic usually included at least one of the following elements: Androgynous, sexy, and utterly effortless. Cecilia Bonstrom, designer for French label Zadig & Voltaire, embodies all three. Look out for the brand's first NY store, opening next week.
I am definitly digging the line! Simply chill, yet sexy... Z&V
