New Beauty Test Tubes

I love, LOVE, LOVE beauty products. I am a licenced esthetician and have been in the beauty industry for years. I even ran a NYC Med-Spa a few years back. That's how deep my love runs.

So of course I adore New Beauty mag it comes 4x a year chock full of beauty info. From lotions to lasers, to lipo.. it covers it all full spectrum. I recently decided to opt for the Test Tubes that they send out with the Mag.. it's $29.99 per box... I just received my first box and snapped a photo of all the fun stuff it included. So Far I like, and can't wait for the next box!

Trend Alert: Teal Green Nails

Lauren Conrad, known for wearing her signature black nail polish, was out and about yesterday at T-Mobile's Sidekick LX launch party in LA debuting a lighter, brighter pedicure of blueish-green polish. Do I spy a trend here?

Perhaps this will be the season for bold, vibrant colors. Celebrities haven't been shy about going beyond the standard classic red manicure; and at an event in March we saw Natalie Portman sport some bright yellow nails, opting for a lighter opaque shade of lemon just yesterday.

As for Lauren, her cool-toned teal polish is fresh and fun, not to mention perfect for both Spring and Summer looks.  I have been wearing a few new OPI Shades, so far a super light lilac one has been my Fav called Done Out In Deco ..Pedicures, here you come.

BREAKING NEWS: Evangeline Lilly and Freida Pinto to Be L’Oreal’s New Faces

Revlon may have inked a deal with Jessica Biel this week, but they’re not the only beauty giant adding an A-lister to their ranks. L’Oreal has just announced that they are welcoming two big-name stars to their roster of celebrity faces: Freida Pinto andEvangeline Lilly. 

Despite persistent internet rumors that the Slumdog Millionaire star would be the face of Estee Lauder, the Indian actress says she is thrilled to be the face of L’Oreal. “I am very moved to be joining the great L’Oreal Paris family and all these personalities: a family I am now proud to be a part of,” Freida says in a statement.

Also stepping in front of the lens will be Lost star Evangeline Lilly, who says, “It is a source of great pride for me to represent a brand whose ambition is to respond to every person’s aspirations to beauty and contribute to the fulfillment and well-being of everyone.” Check back for more information on their dazzling new campaigns.

BLAKE'S PERFECT PONY
Renato Campora for Frederic Fekkai created a sexy and modern ponytail to complement Lively's sultry Versace gown using Fekkai products for the Met Gala.

How to Do It:

1: Use Coiff Strong Hold Volume Mousse on wet hair.
2: Blow dry straight with Extra Large Round Brush.
3: Tease roots and pull hair back into tight ponytail. Secure with a band.
4: Use a touch of Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme over hair, finishing with Sheer Hold Hairspray.

KATE'S NOIR WAVES
Renato Campora for Frederic Fekkai used the brand's luxe styling products to create Veronica Lake-inspired waves for Bosworth's Met Gala look.

How to Do It:

1: Apply Pre-Style Thermal/UV Protectant and Coiff Strong Hold Volume Mousse to wet hair.
2: Blow out hair with the Large Round Brush.
3: Using 1-in. iron, curl small sections of hair and pin to head until cool.
4: Brush to create waves and finish with Sheer Hold Hairspray.


ASHLEY'S MODEL GLAM
Inspired by the Met Gala's "Model as Muse" theme,
Dior makeup artist Polly Osmond gave Olsen a glittering look.

How to Do It:

1: Apply Dior skin Nude Foundation to skin.
2: Create smoldering eyes with Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Earth Reflection.
3: Pump up lashes with DiorShow mascara.
4: Finish with Dior Addict Lipcolor in Rose Lingerie.
