Hilary Swank Is Designing a Clothing Line

Hilary Swank was initially just planning to design a line of T-shirts that
“provided motivation and inspiration,” but then she thought to herself,
Hey, if Jessica Simpson can design lingerie, and Justin Bieber can design scented cardboard tags, and JWOWW can design swimsuits, then why can't I design a full range of gym clothes?
So she talked to the Designers Management Agency (who are apparently the same masterminds behind the goldmine that is sure to be Rachel Roy and Amar'e Stoudemire's forthcoming collaboration), and now they're helping her develop "a contemporary, outdoor, athleisure brand,” said DMA co-founder Marc Beckman. They're currently interviewing real fashion designers to partner with Swank on the project, and no, I've never heard the word "athleisure," either.

Kardashian Jewelry Collection

Not only will the Kardashian sisters’ clothing line for Bebe hit stores this spring, but Kim, Kourtney and Khloe will also be launching a jewelry collection for hip L.A. brand Virgin Saints and Angels. “The collection embraces our unique style…. Romantic, edgy, and classic vintage… of at least we hope so :) . Our Armenian culture is very important to us and we tried to incorporate that in the jewelry also,” Kim writes on her official website. The Kardashians’ collection will hit stores like Santa Barbara’s Blue Bee, Sparkle Fred Segal and Nordstrom on April 15, 2010.

Mark Fast Does Topshoph

That rumor we spread about Mark Fast doing a line for Topshop?

It’s true. And it’s in last week’s Sunday Telegraphmagazine which means it was true before I even said anything.

The article about the Canadian “prairie boy” fills the reader in on his rise to design fame, pre-plus-size models, and how he left Canada for a coveted spot at Central Saint Martins under Louise Wilson’s tutelage. He’s since worked with Alber Elbaz and landed repeated NewGen sponsorship from Topshop.

Apparently the high street brand approached him before his SS10 show regarding a design collaboration. So those still wondering if the plus-size girls were just a press ploy can stop, because he obviously doesn’t need it.
