Naomi and LV Show Off Their Charitable Side

Naomi Campbell might have had issues with anger management in the past, but she's putting all of that aside for charity. In support of The White Ribbon Alliance, a foundation dedicated to reducing maternal mortality, the Super collaborated with Louis Vuitton to sell this hunter green monogrammed Louis Vuitton bag ($2,800) — proceeds from sales will go to the foundation. People say fashion people don’t do anything. "We do a lot," said Campbell, who is the global ambassador for the foundation. The handbag will be available in March 2010.

Sneak Peek! H&M Fashion Against AIDS Collection

H&M is no stranger to philanthropy.
Like in the past, the retailer has collaborated with major celebrities to fight AIDS.
This year, the likes of Estelle (above, whose tee says Life is too short, have sex, be safe), Katy Perry, Dita von Teese, Roisin Murphy, and Cyndi Lauper have lent their drawing skills to sassy t-shirts whose 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects.

"The designs have a real '80s feel to them. Fighting AIDS is always of great importance, and H&M is overwhelmed with the enthusiasm and the commitment from each and every celebrity involved in this collection," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M head of design.

The tees hit your local H&M's DIVIDED department May 28!

Celebrity Moms Design Baby Blankets...

Maybe a little off topic... from my normal gab, but hey I like variety... and always a good cause.

Toys“R”Us has partnered with Save the Children on a new philanthropic campaign called Bundled in Hope to provide blankets to babies in need in impoverished areas in the United States.
Kicking off the campaign, the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund donated $250,000 to Save the Children’s U.S. programs but they have also organized a great charity auction involving celebrity moms.
One-of-a-kind baby blanket designs by Marcia Cross, Jamie Lee Curtis, Isla Fisher, Jennifer Garner, Jennie Garth, Melissa Joan Hart, Julianne Moore, Kyra Sedgwick, Niki Taylor and Kerri Walsh will be auctioned on eBay, with all proceeds benefiting the campaign, between Mother’s Day and July 11.

Even if you’re not interested in bidding on a blanket, you can take part in this campaign by donating as little as a dollar at Toysrus.com/BundledinHope.
Also, through July 11, if you have registered for baby gifts at Babies”R”Us, you can request donations for the campaign from friends and family who are shopping the registry.

Nice! I will be sure to give a donation!

Green Fashion becoming Mainstream

As we all know... well some of don't, tomorrow is Earth Day!  April 22nd, woo hoo!!
This year to celebrate the day I am heading out to the "Green with Fashion" event happening in Philadelphia with another Fashionista friend of mine... The Green Baroness, she runs a Eco-Fashion Blog.

Green with Fashion is a charity, eco-fashion show, which will spotlight designers from all over the country. The idea for the event was first created as a senior project at Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA), but has since evolved into a way to not only celebrate eco-conscious designers, but educate the community on environmental issues.

More than 30 designers and boutiques have agreed to take part in the event and have their designs in the show. In addition to locally- and nationally-known designers, Drexel fashion design students will also be unveiling their eco-friendly sportswear collections. Instead of using unnecessary paper waste to advertise, Green with Fashion will be utilizing online advertising, including websites, blogs, and Facebook.

I, myself am still learning about this side of the Fashion world, but I am open to it all!
Be ready for my upcoming post for all the pictures of the event!

It will be held at this fab place above, the old Real World House Philadelphia, also known as F.U.E.L.
