Trend Alert: Teal Green Nails
Perhaps this will be the season for bold, vibrant colors. Celebrities haven't been shy about going beyond the standard classic red manicure; and at an event in March we saw Natalie Portman sport some bright yellow nails, opting for a lighter opaque shade of lemon just yesterday.
As for Lauren, her cool-toned teal polish is fresh and fun, not to mention perfect for both Spring and Summer looks. I have been wearing a few new OPI Shades, so far a super light lilac one has been my Fav called Done Out In Deco ..Pedicures, here you come.

bebe Summer 2009 “A Safari State of Mind” Catalog
I LOVE me some BEBE! Since I was about 13 I fell in love with bebe... and I think their style has gotten better and better. It's my no fail store.. If I can't find a fab dress anywhere..I know I will find something I can work with at bebe.
So this past Friday I received bebe’s summer 2009 catalog, “A Safari State of Mind”, in the mail and loved it! The shoot took place in the exotic African safari featuring animals like elephant, giraffe, zebra and lion alongside with model Diana Moldovan as a young adventurer. Aside from the amazing animals and background, I’m not a car freak but I couldn’t take my eyes off the sexy old school G Wagen in the shoot, so hot! And also the fab wardrobe blending of new haute styles and untamed animal prints, captured in raw silk and structured canvas, get your safari chic on!
You can shop the summer 2009 catalog at www.bebe.com or always Shop Style my fave...
Power Couple: Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem
Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem. Their names alone conjure up images of sexy. Separately they're steamy, but together you need a fire squad to tame the flames. Most recently, the pair costarred in Woody Allen's movie Vicky Christina Barcelona. They also shared the screen in 1997 in Pedro Almodovar's steamy Carne Trémula (though Pen had a very small part). I can go on and on about how gorgeous these two Spaniards look together, but I'm here to talk about their styles.
Here is a couple who is the opposite of the always-fancy Brad and Angelina. Javier is rugged, Penelope laid-back chic, but when they hit the red carpet, they deliver.
What's particularly charming is that they always wear coordinating colors (whether it's deliberate or not) and have a fondness for baseball caps. And when they're vacationing in their bathing suits? Well, I'll let the photos speak for themselves . . .
Sneak Peek! H&M Fashion Against AIDS Collection
H&M is no stranger to philanthropy.
Like in the past, the retailer has collaborated with major celebrities to fight AIDS.
This year, the likes of Estelle (above, whose tee says Life is too short, have sex, be safe), Katy Perry, Dita von Teese, Roisin Murphy, and Cyndi Lauper have lent their drawing skills to sassy t-shirts whose 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects.
"The designs have a real '80s feel to them. Fighting AIDS is always of great importance, and H&M is overwhelmed with the enthusiasm and the commitment from each and every celebrity involved in this collection," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M head of design.
The tees hit your local H&M's DIVIDED department May 28!
Celebrity Moms Design Baby Blankets...
Maybe a little off topic... from my normal gab, but hey I like variety... and always a good cause.
Toys“R”Us has partnered with Save the Children on a new philanthropic campaign called Bundled in Hope to provide blankets to babies in need in impoverished areas in the United States.
Kicking off the campaign, the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund donated $250,000 to Save the Children’s U.S. programs but they have also organized a great charity auction involving celebrity moms.
One-of-a-kind baby blanket designs by Marcia Cross, Jamie Lee Curtis, Isla Fisher, Jennifer Garner, Jennie Garth, Melissa Joan Hart, Julianne Moore, Kyra Sedgwick, Niki Taylor and Kerri Walsh will be auctioned on eBay, with all proceeds benefiting the campaign, between Mother’s Day and July 11.
Even if you’re not interested in bidding on a blanket, you can take part in this campaign by donating as little as a dollar at Toysrus.com/BundledinHope.
Also, through July 11, if you have registered for baby gifts at Babies”R”Us, you can request donations for the campaign from friends and family who are shopping the registry.
Nice! I will be sure to give a donation!

Cutoffs vs. Boyfriend Shorts
The warm weather brings with it a flood of cutoff shorts to our fair streets.
The perfect pair of cutoffs is that rare thing — distressed and faded just enough in just the right places.
However it's difficult to fashion the perfect pair of cutoffs all on one's own.
But perhaps the bigger question of this most pertinent matter is why we are still trying to cut off our shorts? This was the big trend in bottoms last summer. I think it will always be a classic trend.. but it's nice to mix it up.. soooo Shouldn't we move on and latch onto a different trend?

Stella McCartney's Capsule Collection for Net a Porter Debuts Today
It's a dreamy, gentle collection and Stella herself said she wanted to design something that would flatter a woman's shape. Stella came under fire recently for her Met Costume Gala outfit which consisted of a lace jumpsuit, but I rather liked it. At a talk last night she said:"I had to have a girlfriend take me in an out of it every time I had to go to the bathroom - so it does have it's drawbacks, but I love them because they're just so effortless."
Her collection contains a stunning silk jumpsuit, so we think she's definitely onto something!

Rihanna's Red Carpet comeback at Costume Institute Gala 2009
She wore a black silk Tuxedo inspired suit - Black capri pants, white dress shirt under a jacket with extra puffy shoulders and gathered sleeves and bow tie. She accessorized with stud earrings, leather gloves and black statement heels.
Her hair was swept to a side with prominent platinum blond highlights and she wore blue eye shadow that extended beyond her eyelids.
Rihanna later attended Marc Jacobs after-party at 'Monkey Bar' in New York City, where she hung out with Katy Perry.
Other celebrities at the event included Madonna, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Eva Longoria with husband Tony Parker, Kate Beckinsale, Kate Moss, Jessica Biel with Justin Timberlake and Victoria Beckham.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the world's largest and most important art museums, located on the eastern edge of Central Park in Manhattan, New York.
Its Costume Institute contains more than 80,000 costumes and accessories. Due to the fragile nature of the items in the collection, the Costume Institute does not maintain a permanent installation. Instead, every year it holds two separate shows in the Met's galleries using costumes from its collection, with each show centering on a specific designer or theme.
Swine Flu Chic
Depending on which news source you turn to today swine flu is either behind us or just about to decimate the world's population. Whatever eventuates its influence on the public's psyche is undeniable, and accordingly the fashion industry is jumping onto the bandwagon.
